13th July 2024: Installation & First GBM

I am thrilled to share that our first GBM and Installation event for the year 2024-25 was an overwhelming success! Held at the elegant Jade Banquets, Worli, the venue was perfect to honor the achievements of the past year and usher in a new one filled with fellowship and service. The venue’s ambiance and the delectable menu added a festive touch, keeping the spirits high among the dignitaries and guests.

We were privileged to have esteemed District Dignitaries attend, and despite the rains, a remarkable number of members showed up to support the outgoing and incoming Presidents. As we stepped into the Shagun Year 101, marking a new century for IWC, we did so with enthusiasm, purpose, and a commitment to creating a meaningful impact on society.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Installation Team—Mitali Maniyar, Tejal Damani, and Meghna Sanghvi—for their relentless efforts and meticulous planning, ensuring every detail was flawlessly executed. The Ganesh Vandana dance, beautifully performed by Meghna Sanghvi, Purvi Patwa, and Chaitali Saraiya, captivated us all.

A special thanks to Shibanee Harlaka for her incredible anchoring, adding a personal and elegant touch to the event. The Aura-themed décor, executed with finesse by Meghna Sanghvi, Chaitali Saraiya, Insiyah Jasdanwala, and Purvi Patwa, was a visual treat. IPP Dipa Kapadia and PP Smeeta Jhunjhunwala ensured the District Dignitaries were welcomed seamlessly.

The smooth coordination of registrations and gifting was handled impeccably by Anuja Shah, Preeti Dak, Anjani Merchant, and Bina Shah. A big thank you to Sadhana Sheth and Reepa Jasani for managing the pinning ceremony and food arrangements flawlessly. Gratitude also goes to Purvi Patwa and Rituu Vasa for overseeing the Treasurer’s Desk efficiently and to Manisha Shah and Charu Shah for managing project registrations.

Finally, to all our members who attended—your presence and support were invaluable in making this event such a triumph. Your dedication and camaraderie are what make this group so extraordinary. I am truly proud to be part of this incredible team, and I look forward to many more successful and meaningful events together.

10th August: OCV & 2nd GBM

On August 10th, the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview organized a lively and memorable Official Club Visit (OCV) at the prestigious Willingdon Club, Haji Ali. The event exuded warmth and camaraderie, with members showcasing their vibrant spirit by adorning striking shades of red, adding a lively burst of color to the occasion. The beautifully decorated hall reflected the club’s dedication and dynamic ethos, setting the perfect tone for the day.

District Chairman Prerana Raichur graced the event with her presence, delivering inspiring remarks that highlighted the club’s exceptional achievements and impactful ongoing projects. Her words, met with enthusiastic applause, acknowledged the members' relentless efforts and motivated them to continue striving for excellence.

The event concluded with a delightful lunch, where members shared laughter and joy, their faces radiating the satisfaction of a well-celebrated gathering. The combination of DC Prerana’s encouraging words and the shared camaraderie among members made the OCV a truly special occasion.

A heartfelt thank you to Kanan Mehta, Tejal Damani, and Anuja for flawlessly planning the venue and food arrangements, as well as to Insiyah Jasdanwala and Krishna Engineer for their invaluable contributions to the décor and registration. This event was a testament to the club’s unity, dedication, and vibrant accomplishments.

28th September: Overnighter & 3rd GBM

We are thrilled to share the memorable highlights of our Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview's recent getaway to Lucknow. Over two remarkable days, 46 ladies of our club immersed themselves in the city’s vibrant culture and history. From admiring the serene beauty of the Gomti River to navigating the intricate pathways of the magnificent Bhulbulaiya at Bada Imambada, every moment was an enriching experience. We also delved deep into the fascinating history of British India, which added a historical dimension to our journey. The grandeur of The Taj Gazal night left us spellbound, providing a perfect blend of cultural elegance and entertainment.

However, what truly made this trip special were our own club members. Their confidence, grace, and talent took center stage during the dazzling Heeramandi night. The evening was unforgettable as our ladies showcased their personal style and poise during the ramp walk, leaving everyone awestruck with their stunning performances. Their charm and energy made this experience truly unique, creating lasting memories for all of us. The combination of Lucknow’s rich heritage and the incredible spirit of our members made this adventure truly one for the books—an unforgettable celebration of friendship, culture, and talent.

A huge Shoutout to my Lucknow team for the year who executed my dream trip with precision and perfection- MEghna Sanghvi, Smeeta Jhunjhunwala, Tejal Damani, Kanan Mehta, Sejal Shah, Purvi Patwa and Dipa Kapadia. Thank you Guys !!

16th October: Garbe Ghoomti Gopiyon & 4th GBM

On the auspicious occasion of Sharad Poonam, the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview celebrated its 4th GBM and Fellowship, Garbe Ghoomti Gopiyon, on October 16th. The evening was a vibrant spectacle of color, rhythm, and joy, as members dressed in stunning traditional garba attire swayed gracefully to the energetic beats of Raas Garba music. The festive atmosphere was elevated by impromptu group competitions, where participants displayed their creativity and charm by incorporating surprise props into their dances, adding a touch of spontaneity and fun to the celebrations.

The event was further enhanced by a delectable spread of fusion Gujarati delicacies curated by Gourmet Chef Harsh Sodhan. The flavorful feast warmed hearts and delighted taste buds, perfectly complementing the festive spirit. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as members embraced the joyous mood, dancing and celebrating with unbridled enthusiasm.

The evening was a perfect blend of culture, unity, and jubilance, leaving everyone energized and brimming with fond memories. A heartfelt thank you to Team Garbe Ghoomti Gopiyon—Ruchita Chheda, Mona Babla, Devki Shah, Neha Shah, Renu Parikh, Purvi Patwa, and Tejal Damani—for their impeccable planning and dedication, making this event a resounding success. It was truly an evening to remember!

13th Nov: Sound Meditation Workshop & 5th Gbm

Our Sound Bath Meditation workshop at the Viveria Building was an extraordinary and refreshing experience. Members had the chance to unwind and release stress while enjoying the luxurious comfort of recliner seats, which added an extra layer of relaxation to the event. The tranquil ambiance of the venue further amplified the serene atmosphere, harmonizing beautifully with the soothing sounds and vibrations of the sound bath instruments. The gentle chimes and resonant tones created a calming environment, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in this meditative journey.

After the rejuvenating session, members were treated to an exceptional menu featuring an array of delicious dishes and refreshing beverages. The thoughtfully designed spread served as the perfect ending to a session that nurtured both the mind and body.

I sincerely thank my incredible Fellowship Team—Jessica Hemani, Tejal Damani, Yogita Vasa, and Sadhana Sheth—for their diligent planning and flawless execution. Their efforts ensured a seamless and memorable experience for everyone involved, leaving attendees feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and deeply content. This workshop was a perfect combination of mindfulness and indulgence, embodying the essence of our Inner Wheel Year’s theme: Glow From Within, Shine Your Aura. It was truly an enriching experience for all.

8th Dec: Movie Day with Spouses and Fellow Rotaraians & 6th Gbm

On December 8th, our Sunday morning was filled with relaxation and camaraderie as we hosted a joint fellowship with Inner Wheel members, spouses, and the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview. We organized an exclusive screening of the movie Pushpa-2 at the NSCI theater, reserved just for the Bayview Inner Wheel and Rotary families. While the movie itself did not quite meet expectations, the company of my Rotary friends made the experience truly enjoyable—just like a wildflower, vibrant and fun!

A fun takeaway from Pushpa-2: "Meri byko ne bola woh main karoonga"—now that's woman empowerment at its finest!

The event was brilliantly conceptualized and executed by the admin team, making it a memorable gathering.

A special thanks to member Tejal Damani for coordinating every detail of the screening, from securing the tickets to curating delightful food boxes for all the guests and members. Her meticulous planning made the event a success!
