Every afternoon, about 80 senior citizens in Mumbai wait for a certain man to walk through their doors, for he comes bearing son-like devotion packaged in wholesome meals for the whole day- lunch, dinner and next day's breakfast.

85 families living nearby are benefited. Many women from far off distances (more than 10 to 15 kms away) also come to get water from here, as the word has spread amongst them that water is now available in this area.
The women of Shishane are extremely happy and relieved from their everyday struggle of getting a pail of water from kilometres away. Earlier the women had to go at midnight and wait till the water oozed out slowly.

IWCBB was mentioned in the local print media of Jalgaon - Tarun Bharat, Divya Marathi etc. - for our ration distribution to 25 families of mentally and physically handicapped kids on 10th May. Since then the local Rotary club and many wholesalers are keen to join hands with us and do more projects with us. We are planning further ration distributions there to the daily wage workers, who have literally no means to earn. We further distributed rations in Jalgaon along with Udaan Foundation and Rotary club of Jalgaon Star to 60 daily wage earners like transgenders, photographers, potters, physically handicapped people etc. They have no means of food or earning due to the Second Wave lockdown.
We did a joint project of donating 1 bag of cotton seeds and 5 litre of fertilizer (humic acid) each to 100 poor and needy farmers of Jalgaon along with Rotary club of Jalgaon Star and NGO Flight Divyang Training Center. The farmers were identified personally by local volunteers.
The distribution was done in the collector's office by District Collector and Superintendent of police in the presence of print and digital media.
We along with Suhrid Foundation did essential food kit distribution in Vikramgad in Palghar district. Since last year, tribals have not been able to go out for their earning and are having very difficult times. Whatever savings they have, they need to spend that on next year's farming supplies. Our distribution covered 1500 monthly ration kits to these tribal farmers in 12 villages. This much needed support was well received by all tribes.
We organised the meal for the whole day for the 100 senior citizens of Matoshree old age home to celebrate the last day of team 2020-2021's year!
This worthy project, which has continued uninterrupted since the inception of our Club, has been paused due the unavoidable circumstances of these pandemic times. We hope to resume as soon as the authorities give us the green light.
In the meantime, we have changed the nature of our Food Sewa and are now helping as many senior citizens, special needs people and children who are either stuck at home, left without means or struggling for food in these hard times.
Again, due to the Covid restrictions, we could not enroll any new students for the computer education program this year. Though this initiative has been paused for now, we will continue as soon as circumstances allow us. In the meantime, we provide mobiles, laptops, dongles and other communication devices wherever we can to sustain their online education. We also provide fees for those whose parents lost their income in the pandemic and could not afford the fees. In this way we are still keeping up the goal of this initiative - to educate girls.
Annapoorna Diwas continues every month, and is especially welcome in these times.
Providing food to gaushalas and other animals continues as and where we see a need.
