12th July 2025 – Installation Ceremony & 1st GBM

The Installation Ceremony of the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview for the year 2025–2026 was held on 12th July 2025 at Imara Banquets, Race Course, Mahalaxmi. The evening marked the formal installation of the incoming President, Dr. Kanan Mehta, along with her Executive Committee. The prestigious ceremony was attended by the District Chairman and her Executive Committee, Guest of Honour Sonali Shah, President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview, the Zone 1 Coordinator, and Presidents of all 13 clubs of Zone 1.

During the ceremony, the mantle of leadership was gracefully passed from the outgoing President Tanvi Parikh (2024–2025) to the incoming President Dr. Kanan Mehta (2025–2026) and her team. The event was elegantly hosted by PP Grishma Doshi, whose wit and charm kept the members and guests engaged throughout the evening. The outgoing President presented her annual report, followed by the pinning ceremony of the incoming Executive Committee and new members by the District Chairman, Lakshmi Singh. Dr. Kanan Mehta was warmly introduced by her daughters Paulomi and Janhvi and shared her vision and plans for the year ahead. The ceremony concluded with a delightful lunch and witnessed an impressive attendance of around 120 members and guests.

06th August 2025 – Official Club Visit & 2nd GBM

The 2nd General Body Meeting was held on 6th August 2025 at Bellissimo Banquets during the Official Club Visit of the District Chairman. The visit included a formal inspection of the club’s books, records, and reports. The event was efficiently coordinated by Executive Committee Members Tejal Damani and Anuja Shah, supported by their team members Aditi, Bina Shah, Deepa Contractor, and other volunteers.

Following the official proceedings, five new members were inducted into the club. The meeting also featured an engaging cooking demonstration by BOWled with Kari – Chef Karishma Mehta, conducted in collaboration with White Light Sauces. Members enjoyed learning four different Asian meal preparations during the interactive session. The event concluded with enthusiastic participation and an attendance of 65 members.

13th September 2025 – Sewa Kitchen 3.0 & 3rd GBM

The 3rd GBM was dedicated to the club’s beloved community service initiative Sewa Kitchen 3.0, continuing the tradition established two years ago by PP Dipa Kapadia. The project was conducted on 13th September 2025 during the auspicious period of Pitrupaksh.

Members gathered at a vacant apartment next to the residence of Club Secretary Meghna Sanghvi, where they collectively cooked and packed meals for nearly 350 underprivileged children. The beneficiaries included 150 children from Yusuf Meherali High School, 125 children from Wilson High School, 50 children from Raksha Foundation, and several children from the Colaba slums. Club members generously contributed ingredients, gifts, and goodies for the children, making the initiative a heartwarming display of service and community spirit.

03rd October 2025 – PEPBOX Drum Circle & 4th GBM

The 4th General Body Meeting was held on 3rd October 2025 at the Malabar Hill Club and was centred around fellowship and team building. Members enjoyed an energetic and interactive session conducted by the PEPBOX Drum Circle, which encouraged participation, rhythm, and collective creativity.

The activity created a vibrant atmosphere of joy, laughter, and camaraderie among the members. The evening was thoughtfully organized by Team Beyond Ordinary under the leadership of Executive Committee Member Reepa Jasani, along with team members Grishma, Jigna, Hemangi Shah, Dipa Kapadia, and new member Manisha Samat. The festive ambience was enhanced through beautiful decorations and thoughtful gifts arranged with the support of Falguni Sheth. With an attendance of 65 members, the evening strengthened fellowship and showcased the vibrant spirit of the club.

15th November 2025 – Indradhanush Art Competition & 5th GBM

The Community Service Project Indradhanush was successfully conducted on 15th November 2025 at Sir C. J. High School. The event brought together nearly 90 students who enthusiastically participated in an art competition filled with creativity, music, dance performances, and refreshments.

Students were treated to food boxes from Happiness, strawberry milk, chocolates, Oreo biscuits, stationery kits, glitter pens, chikkis, and numerous prizes. The venue was beautifully arranged with balloons and decorations by Executive Committee Member Ritu. The competition judges included Manisha Shah, Puja Parikh, Priti Barai, and Aditi Ahuja, who selected winners across classes 5th to 9th.

The project cost was ₹76,800, and the club also donated two printers to the school as a gesture of appreciation for providing the venue. The event was made possible through the generous contributions and support of donors, volunteers, and members.

18th December 2025 – Girls’ Night Out & 6th GBM

The 6th General Body Meeting was celebrated as a lively Girls’ Night Out on 18th December 2025 at Permit & Co. The evening was filled with music, laughter, and wonderful fellowship among members.

The highlight of the evening was a captivating live performance by singer Faraz Ali Shah, whose energetic singing created a vibrant atmosphere. Over 50 members enjoyed the beautiful ambience, great music, and warm company, making the evening truly memorable. With 52 members in attendance, the event was a delightful celebration of friendship, fun, and camaraderie.

11th January 2026 – Joint Sports Day & 7th GBM

The 7th General Body Meeting was held on 11th January 2026 at Priyadarshini Park in the form of a Joint Sports Day – Fun-O-Olympics, organized together with the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview.

The event brought together members of both clubs for a day filled with games, laughter, friendly competition, and team spirit. The activities reminded everyone of the joy and innocence of childhood through a variety of fun sporting games. It was a wonderful opportunity for bonding, fitness, and strengthening relationships with the Rotary family. Special thanks were extended to Rotary President Sonali Shah and Rotary Sports Director Parag Shah for their support in making the event a success.

05th February 2026 – Cruise Fellowship & 8th GBM

The 8th General Body Meeting took place on 5th February 2026 aboard the cruise Celestyal Discovery, departing from Abu Dhabi and travelling through Doha, Ras Al Khaimah, Oman, and back to Abu Dhabi. The international fellowship trip was an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, bonding, and adventure.

Members enjoyed a mix of exciting onboard activities and fascinating shore excursions. Highlights included exploring the vibrant souqs and museums of Doha, climbing historic forts in Ras Al Khaimah, dolphin watching and swimming in the Arabian Sea near Khasab, and visiting iconic landmarks such as the grand mosque and the Swaminarayan Temple in Abu Dhabi. The journey strengthened friendships and created cherished memories, making it the club’s first international girls’ trip filled with joy and camaraderie.

06th March 2026 – Cultural Evening at NMACC & 9th GBM

The 9th General Body Meeting was held on 6th March 2026 at the prestigious Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Members gathered for an elegant evening that began with a delightful high tea and fellowship session.

The meeting was followed by a theatrical performance of “1876 – The Story of India’s First Banned Play”, presented at the Studio Theatre. The play offered a humorous and thought-provoking perspective on historical events and captivated the audience with its engaging storytelling and outstanding performances. The venue’s exceptional hospitality and refined ambience made the evening truly memorable. The event witnessed an attendance of 53 members.

22nd August 2025 – Visit to Kaun Banega Crorepati

“Lights… Camera… Action!”

Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview had an unforgettable fan moment when they attended the live recording of the iconic television show Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.

Despite heavy rains in Mumbai, around 54 enthusiastic members, spouses, and family members gathered at the studio to witness the magic of the show and see the legendary actor live on stage. The experience of being present on the sets of one of India’s most celebrated quiz shows was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The evening was filled with excitement, admiration, and cherished moments, creating memories that members will treasure for years to come.

29th–30th September 2025 – Baroda Garba Trip

The club organized a vibrant Garba trip to Vadodara during the festive season of Navratri. Members came together for a joyful journey filled with dance, laughter, and fellowship.

Although the original garba arrangements faced some unexpected changes, the members’ positive spirit and cooperation ensured the trip remained a wonderful experience. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Meghna and the organizing team, members were able to participate in the lively Vadodara Navratri celebrations and enjoy an evening of traditional Garba in a festive atmosphere.

President Dr. Kanan Mehta expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizing team, especially Meghna, Ruchita, and Sejal, whose careful planning and coordination made the trip possible. The excursion created beautiful memories and strengthened friendships among members, leaving everyone looking forward to the upcoming club cruise in February 2026.

09th December 2025 – Mahjong Tournament

The IWCBB Mahjong Soirée was held on 9th December 2025 at Café Calma, Shalimar Hotel, bringing together members and guests for an enjoyable evening of games, learning, and fellowship.

A total of 32 members and 9 guests participated in the event, which began with an informative learning session organized by Neeta Joshi Pura for beginners interested in learning the game. The tournament included one beginners’ table and five intermediate and advanced tables, ensuring an engaging experience for players at every level.

The evening was filled with lively conversations, friendly competition, and delicious refreshments. The winners from the intermediate tables were Vrinda Sunkerset, Shibanee, Puja, Devki, and Priti Dak, while the beginners’ table winners were Ruchita and Reepa.

Mahjong-themed candles were presented as keepsakes, and the prizes were generously sponsored by Dipa Kapadia. The event was beautifully organized by the team of Dipa, Meghana, Mona, and President Dr. Kanan Mehta, making it a truly memorable gathering for all.

27th March 2026 – Charter Night Celebration

The Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview celebrated a significant milestone — 15 glorious years of service and fellowship — during its Charter Night celebration held on 27th March 2026.

The grand celebration took place at the spectacular 60th-floor terrace of Raheja Imperia in Worli, offering breathtaking views and an elegant setting for the occasion. The event brought together 65 members and 30 spouses for an evening of celebration, camaraderie, and reflection on the club’s remarkable journey.

Charter President Archana Goenka shared her pride in witnessing the club grow from 50 members at its inception to a thriving community of 114 members today. She also highlighted the club’s notable achievements, including Past President Mita Sheth serving as District Chairman and several members taking leadership roles at the district level.

The celebration was thoughtfully organized by President Dr. Kanan Mehta and her team, creating a warm atmosphere that fostered bonding between senior and new members. A special note of appreciation was extended to member Sheebani Harlalka for helping make the event possible. The evening beautifully celebrated the club’s legacy of friendship, service, and growth.
